OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – A driver was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 14, for a drunken-driving crash that hospitalized three people, including a police officer.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. while Farmington police were assisting Farmington Hills police with a traffic stop.
A vehicle traveling eastbound on M-5, near Drake Road, struck the rear end of a Farmington police cruiser.
The vehicle then spun and was struck head-on by another eastbound vehicle.
The at-fault driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, police said.
A Farmington police officer and two other drivers were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. All are expected to make a full recovery, police said.
