The Northern Iowa football team defeated Eastern Washington 17-14 on Sept. 13 at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
UNI (2-1) got on the board fast with a 79-yard touchdown reception by Tysen Kershaw on UNI's first play of the contest. Kershaw finished with six catches and 143 receiving yards, a career-high.
Ayden Price had six receptions for 135 yards for UNI.
Panthers quarterback Matthew Schecklman finished with 359 passing yards, a career-high and his first time with at least 300 passing yards.
