An investigation is underway after a delivery driver allegedly attempted to sexually assault a person at the University of Connecticut in Storrs over the weekend.

In an email sent to the school community, police said a man who was a delivery driver for DoorDash enticed a victim into his vehicle while completing a delivery on Saturday around 5:45 p.m.

Once the victim entered the vehicle, authorities said they were assaulted by the man.

It is believed to have happened in the Hilltop Apartments parking lot.

The victim was able to get to safety and the suspect reportedly left the area in a 1998 gold Toyota Camry.

The suspect is described as a man who is approximately 30 years old.
