Fans of “ The Pitt ” can soon rejoice: Mel and Langdon’s reunion will surprise everyone at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital in Season 2.

“For Mel, he’s someone that she meets on her first shift and she finds she really relates to him,” Taylor Dearden, who plays Mel in the HBO Max drama, told Variety during the Warner Bros. Television Group’s 77th Primetime Emmy Awards Nominees Celebration. “She’s only known Langdon for one day, but he makes such a massive impact on her, and then he’s gone. In Season 2, he’s back after 10 months, and she has no idea where he’s been or why he was gone for so long.”
