2 people shot at Bluff Road apartment complex outside Columbia

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting that happened at an apartment complex off of Bluff Road on Sunday.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called to 1050 Southern Drive, the address of Redpoint Apartments, around 2:20 a.m. to a reported shooting. They first found one victim with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body and, while tending to the victim. Authorities said that, while tending to the first victim's gunshot wounds, they discovered a second victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Both have since been taken to a local hospital for treatment. The Richland County Sheriff's Department said investigators and members of the crime scene unit responded to the scene where the investigation is ongoing. No detail
