PEA RIDGE, Ark. — The Pea Ridge School District superintendent confirmed that an employee is no longer with the district after they made social media posts that had "caused concern" within the community.

While no statements from the district explained the content of the posts, other Arkansas school districts were met with outrage after some staff and faculty reportedly posted to social media praising the assassination of conservative media personality Charlie Kirk .

Pea Ridge Superintendent Keith Martin first addressed the reports of the employee's social media posts in a statement on Friday, Sept. 12. Martin said the views expressed in the posts do not reflect that of the district, which aims to foster a nonpartisan environment.
