KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knox County District Attorney’s Office said a member of a criminal gang has been convicted of selling drugs while on bond for a separate case involving methamphetamine.
District Attorney General Charme Allen said an officer with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office approached a car in a hotel parking lot on Cross Park Drive on Feb. 6, 2024 after smelling marijuana.
There, Allen said 43-year-old William Crew told authorities he was on federal supervised release for a narcotics offense and that someone had smoked marijuana in his car.
Officers searched the car, and Allen said they found a burnt marijuana cigarette, 12 grams of methamphetamine and baggies used for selling meth. Crew eventually admitted to selling meth.
