UNION COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — The Franklin County Coroner's Office has identified one of the two people who died in a Union County crash earlier this month.
According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called around 6:30 a.m. Sept. 6 to the area of state Route 31 and Miller Road , near York Township, on a report of a crash involving two vehicles.
The sheriff's office said a 2023 Jeep Renegade traveling north on Route 31 crossed the center line and struck a 2009 Honda Civic head-on, causing significant damage to the Honda.
According to the sheriff's office, 23-year-old Sofia Collazos Ingunza, who was driving the Jeep, was flown by MedFlight to a Columbus hospital. On Sept. 11, the coroner's office told the sheriff's office that Ingunza, a citizen of Peru, had died but did
