ARLINGTON, Texas — Before taking the field against the Giants Sunday, the Cowboys displayed a memorial honoring Charlie Kirk and called for an end to political violence.

Four days after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on the campus of Utah Valley University, the Cowboys observed a moment of silence to honor him in their home opener against the Giants.

"This kind of tragic, deadly violence can have no place in our society, and we condemn all violence in our communities," the Cowboys' public address announcer, Roger Emrich, said ahead of the game. The Cowboys' video board also displayed a picture of Kirk.
