SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - After three days of competition, a winner has been crowned in the South Dakota’s biggest golf tournament.

Ernie Els held a lead going into day three, but it was really a battle between Retief Goosen and Bo Van Pelt.

Going into the 16th hole at Minnehaha Country Club Goosen and Van Pelt were tied at -12.

The South African pulled away as he birdied 16, and Van Pelt bogeyed hole 17.

This is the first time Goosen has won the Sanford International.

He shot -3 in the final round.

The top three golfers were Retief Goosen at -13, Bo Van Pelt at -11, and Ernie Els at -9.
