ST. LOUIS — Authorities on Sunday said human remains were found just north of Interstate 70 in the city's Mark Twain neighborhood.
St. Louis homicide detectives were sent to the 4900 block of Harney Avenue around 12:30 p.m. after human remains were discovered, police said.
No further information was disclosed by early Sunday evening.
But the Harney Avenue discovery marks the second time in a week St. Louis police have found human remains.
On Thursday, police said remains were found in a vacant lot in the 5600 block of Labadie Avenue in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood, about 3 miles south of where Sunday's remains were found.
Police said homicide detectives and the FBI responded to that case, though no further details were disclosed.
