SHREVEPORT, La. – An animal rescue that specializes in small dog adoptions and helping puppies with medical problems is turning to the public for help after its facility was heavily damaged in a fire Friday.

No injuries were reported in the fire at TRS LA Baby Mommas. All dogs were safely removed.

The quick action of those who responded are credited with no loss of life.

“There are not adequate words to say thank you, but angels saved our babies and humans,” a Facebook post states.

However, the interior and its belongings were destroyed. The non-profit rescue lost dog food, vaccines, dog supplies, refrigerators, fans, washing machine, computer, medications and more.
