Philadelphia, PA – A violent early-morning crash on Sunday claimed the life of a North Philadelphia man after a black Dodge Durango lost control and slammed into a pickup truck before fleeing the scene, investigators said.

The crash happened around 7:57 a.m. at Roosevelt Boulevard and Adams Avenue in the city’s 15th District. According to officials, the Durango struck a 2002 Ford F-150, causing the pickup to overturn.

The Ford’s driver, 57-year-old Kelvin Williams of North 23rd Street, was partially ejected during the collision and pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the truck, ages 52 and 75, were rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center. Both were listed in stable condition.
