OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - School was in session for the first time at what is now the University of Nebraska at Omaha on this day in 1909.

According to UNO’s Alumni Association , there were 26 students.

19 of those students were graduates of Omaha High School.

This fall, there are nearly 15,000 students enrolled at UNO.
