PITTSBURGH — The Seattle Seahawks bounced back from an opening-weekend loss to the San Francisco 49ers in a big way. Seattle defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-17 on the road. Here's how they did it:

Defense's second-half shutdown

Seattle's defense looked solid in the first half. The unit bent but didn’t break in the first quarter, holding the Steelers to two 48-yard field goals. In the second quarter, former Seahawk DK Metcalf caught a 3-yard touchdown pass. But in the second half, they shut down Aaron Rodgers and company. In the third quarter, cornerback Derion Kendrick came up with a big play, picking off a tipped pass by Rodgers in the end zone.
