SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - An Idaho woman died in a motorcycle crash in Pennington County Saturday.

According to a press release from the Department of Public Safety, at 5:05 p.m. a 27-year-old woman was riding eastbound on US Highway 16A, about seven miles south of Keystone, SD.

The rider began to pass a group of motorcycles, when she entered a sharp turn, lost control, was separated from her motorcycle, and slid off the road. She was wearing a helmet.

The rider was taken to a Rapid City hospital where she died from her injuries.

The name of the person involved has not been released pending the notification of family members.
