ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque mother will stay in custody after police say they found fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia next to her infant's crib. On Wednesday, police say a CYFD referral reported that a mother had narcotics that were easily accessible to the child in the home.
When police and CYFD investigators arrived to conduct a welfare check on 35-year-old Melody Abrams, they found drug paraphernalia in the living room and bedroom. When police asked about the foil, Abrams said she and her husband used fentanyl, but not in front of their infant.
