The New York Jets lost to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in blowout fashion, and to make matters worse, quarterback Justin Fields was injured in the game.

In the fourth quarter, Fields was taken down by Joey Bosa and the back of his head appeared to bounce off the ground on impact. He exited the game and after going to the medical tent, he returned to the locker room with the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant later, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo ,

Fields was reportedly being evaluated for a concussion, but after the game, Aaron Glenn confirmed Fields' injury status. Glenn noted during his press game press conference that Fields was in concussion protocol during his postgame press conference.

Fields must now follow a five-step process before he can play in an NFL game again
