A crash on Interstate 10 in New Orleans East blocked all eastbound lanes for over an hour Sunday evening, snarling traffic and causing a backup that stretched for miles over the Highrise.

The crash was reported just after 6 p.m. near U.S. 90 in Pines Village, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. As of 7:23 p.m., traffic stretched as far as Florida Avenue in St. Roch.

New Orleans police did not immediately respond to a request for information about the crash.
