NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Elmer Denzel Irwin, the owner of Santa’s Pub , has died.

A family friend of Irwin posted the announcement on social media on Sunday saying “Santa has flown home to the North Pole.”

Santa’s Pub is one of Music City’s most iconic dive bars. Its festive Christmas theme and karaoke nights made the pub on Bransford Avenue memorable to those who patron it.

It was even named one of the best dive bars in America by Daily Meal.
