Carmel basketball standout Evan Harrell committed to Bellarmine University on Sunday.
The 6-8 Harrell averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists as a junior. He returned from injury to play in 16 games last season for the 10-13 Greyhounds.
“I think the best parts about it is the great culture that they have and the style of play,” Harrell said of Bellarmine, which is an Atlantic Sun Conference program located in Louisville, Ky. “The guys are great, and they seem to be bought in together. The style of play fits my game well because I’m coming from a program that requires a high basketball IQ and understanding of the game.”
