The Emmys took some time to thank you for being a friend.

A few iconic country singers took to the stage to honor the 40th anniversary of "The Golden Girls."

Reba McEntire, as well as Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, both of the band Little Big Town, performed a musical tribute to the four senior friends.

"Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia and Rose — iconic characters who we continue to love 40 years after they first graced our television screens," McEntire said, before the trio introduced the nominees for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
