There will be an Ottawa police presence at St. Mark High School on Monday morning after the Ottawa Catholic School Board became aware of a threat being made.

The threat came in response to social media posts from a St. Mark staff member about the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk died after being shot in the neck Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University.

“Recently, social media posts connected to one of our staff members have been circulating online,” read a letter to St. Mark students’ families from principal Alison Strucchelli. The OCSB shared the letter with the Ottawa Citizen on Sunday.
