The Cincinnati Bengals got, practically, the worst-case injury update on superstar quarterback Joe Burrow after Sunday’s Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Joe Burrow was injured on a sack during the second quarter of the Bengals’ season opener and did not return. Backup Jake Browning relieved Burrow and finished with three total touchdowns, including the game-winning QB sneak TD in the waning seconds, to help Cincy escape with a 31-27 win.
It was initially reported that Burrow would miss multiple weeks with turf toe and torn ligaments. Unfortunately, the injury is even worse than feared.
