Tramell Tillman had an historic night at the 2025 Emmys.

After being announced as the winner of the outstanding supporting actor in a drama series award, the 40-year-old “Severance” star became the first-ever Black man to win in the category.

As he accepted his award, Tillman dedicated his significant achievement to his first acting coach, who also happens to be his mother.

“You remember what you want to remember. You make time for what you want to make time for. Do the work. Show up. And most importantly, for the love of God, don’t embarrass me in public,” he began. “My first acting coach was tough, y’all. But all great mothers are.”
