CBS celebrated the 25th season of Survivor with host Jeff Probst recreating the critical Tribal Council ceremony at the 2025 Emmys .

Probst took the stage to present the award for Scripted Variety Series, where Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver and SNL ‘s Lorne Michaels were nominated.

To make the presentation more fun, Probst appeared amid a familiar setting, the Tribal Council ceremony, amid the forthcoming Season 50 of the reality competition series.

“During Survivor’s 25 years on CBS, 50 seasons of our show with the world watching, contestants must outwit, outplay, and outlast the competition until one takes home the prize,” Probst said. “Tonight is no different, with two tribes that both have dug in their quest. And here, there is no immunity to protect them.”
