PORTALES, N.M. (KFDA) - The Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds fell to #8 Angelo State Rams on Saturday evening, 31-20, after weather delays.
Despite the loss, the Greyhounds led in almost every statistic. They had 313 total yards to the Rams 147, including holding Angelo State to just two passing yards total.
Both teams scored three rushing touchdowns, but the Rams capitalized off an 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a field goal to take the lead and never give ENMU the chance to take the lead.
The turnover margin was a big part of the story as well. Eastern had three lost fumbles and an interception, while the Rams only had one fumble lost.
