An executive who has supported startups in Indianapolis and been a board member of the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center will be its next president and CEO.
John McDonald was chosen to succeed Mike Fritsch, who retired. A news release said McDonald has more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, innovator and business builder. He co-founded NEXT Studios, a space dedicated to helping Indianapolis-area startups.
Most recently, McDonald was head of strategies and initiatives at Tulsa Innovation Labs, which also assisted business leaders with networking and other opportunities, a news release said.
