George Springer powered the offence early, Shane Bieber returned to form and things really got out of hand for the Orioles in the seventh when a 5-2 game quickly became 11-2 for the Jays, the eventual final.

“I thought we played with a really good sense of urgency, which is important this time of year,” said Jays manager John Schneider as the win capped a 5-1 homestand.

“Pitching was good and defence was really good, and the at-bats were consistent. So again, you trust these guys to be ready for anything. And then you move on to the Rays.”
