DES MOINES, Iowa —

Eleven dogs rescued from unsafe conditions in a Pocahontas County home are improving under the care of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, with three already finding forever homes.

The ARL shared an update on Sunday, noting they took in those dogs last month.

The most severely-matted dog, named Noel, has been cleaned up and made more comfortable by the ARL's staff groomer. However, Noel will still require some medical care before she can be adopted, according to the ARL.
