NEGAUNEE — The Calumet Copper Kings football remained undefeated Friday after shutting down the Negaunee Miners, 33-18, on the road.

Tyler Halonen drove the Copper Kings offense effectively, going 2-of-2 through the air for 72 yards and one touchdown. He also ran the ball 16 times for 110 yards and one 40-yard touchdown.

Ben Anderson was also effective, running nine times for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Anderson got Calumet on the board first with a 20-yard run in the first quarter for a touchdown.

Oskar Loukus came up with an interception for a touchdown in the second quarter, but a failed two-point conversion left the Copper Kings up 13-0 at that point.

Evan Dellangelo ran a 65-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to get the Miners on the board.
