HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior kicker Kansei Matsuzawa debuted a new jersey during Saturday night’s homecoming game .

Matsuzawa was a key contributor to the ‘Bows win and was perfect on Saturday, going two for two on extra points and three for three on field goals, including his second career long 47 yards.

His stellar performance was coupled with his new nameplate on his jersey, Matsuzawa written in Japanese.

“I really liked it, and when I saw it for the first time on the field when he was going through warmups and kicking his field goal, I thought it was awesome,” said Head Coach Timmy Chang. “I thought it was a great job by our athletic department.“

Matsuzawa will continue to wear the name plate for the rest of the season.
