Council:

• Approved purchase of a mobile forensics tool kit for use in the police department. O’Brien said the new equipment will help in solving crimes, allowing police to extract information from cellphones, and will be used by the detective bureau. Officials said the kit cost $84,000.

• Approved furnace replacement at the water pollution control service building. Officials said the boiler went out over the winter.

• Tabled an agreement with Habitat for Humanity of the Mahoning Valley providing for tax incentives by a program of abatement of real
