Cricket Tasmania has vowed it "won't be holding up" the proposed multi-sport stadium on Hobart's waterfront, and said it was hopeful concerns over its roof design will be resolved.
Cricket Tasmania and Cricket Australia have previously raised "significant concerns" about the stadium's roof and the impact of shadows cast by its supporting structure over the centre wicket area.
In a March letter to the government, the governing bodies said the roof design cast doubt over whether cricket fixtures could be staged at the new stadium.
"We are of the view the current roof design will mean the stadium is unlikely to be conducive to hosting test matches and could also be challenged in hosting One Day (50 over) and T20 (20 over) fixtures," the letter said.
