Since taking his first snap for South Point as a freshman , quarterback Patrick Blee has been a mainstay in the Red Raider huddle.

Such normalcy was interrupted this week, a lower leg injury sustained in the second half of a Week 3 win at T.C. Roberson sidelining South Point’s veteran signal caller. Though trusty No. 5 wasn’t at the controls of the “Big Red Machine,” the locomotive continued rolling downhill last Friday night against Mount Pleasant.

The Red Raiders didn’t miss a beat in Week 4 with Cayden Rumph under center, the junior quarterback rushing for a team-high 167 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-7 win at Lineberger Stadium in Belmont. Kaveaun Pless added 140 yards and two TDs of his own.
