Gorden Tallis said the AFL grand final “shouldn’t stop our game” after the NRL confirmed it wouldn’t hold a preliminary final on the same day.

For the first time, the NRL has gone with a Friday night/Sunday combination for its preliminary finals.

The Storm will play the winner of the Raiders/Sharks semi-final on Friday, September 26 at AAMI Park, while the Broncos will host the winner of the Bulldogs/Panthers semi at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, September 28.
