Bernardo Tinajero had a goal and an assist for Seton Hall Prep, No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20, in a 2-0 victory over Landon School (MD) at the Mainline High School Jamboree in West Chester, Penn.
Giovanni Carnemolla opened the scoring in the 34th minute when he took a feed from Cian O’Connor in front of the net and scored for Seton Hall Prep (5-0). Tinajero added an insurance goal in the 79th minute when he got a Maxime Tellier pass and fired a shot from just inside the 18.
“It was a heck of a win,” Seton Hall Prep head coach Marty Berman said. “The guys really stepped up and it was a real team win.”
Jack Snyder made five saves and Rocco Quilici had one as they combined on the shutout.
For Landon (2-4-1), Will Archer made four saves and Luke Tegeris had three.
