PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Every summer at the Greenbrier Commons pool ends with a four-legged affair.
Naturally, that’s a dog swim with this year’s event being a barking good time.
“The end-of-the-year dog swim was a huge success,” Parma Heights Recreation Director Mike Sedlak said. “While we’re sad to see the pool season come to an end, our 2025 Dog Swim event was a whole lot of fun.
“Mother Nature provided us with beautiful, sunny weather and temperatures just warm enough to enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool.”
More than 40 dogs ventured into the water with some participating in a costume contest.
Sedlak said a few dogs chose to swim laps while others enjoyed running through the water and getting their paws wet.
“It was really hard to see who was having more fun, the dogs or the dog’s
