(Box Elder, SD) — Thousands turn out Saturday for the annual Salute to Ellsworth celebration in Box Elder, honoring the city’s long-standing connection with Ellsworth Air Force Base. Residents enjoyed the parade, fireworks, and new events like ‘Cops and Bobbers.’ Officials highlighted the city’s rapid growth and the family-friendly community as the base prepares for the B-21 bomber. This year’s parade was the largest yet, featuring more than 40 floats.
