Police placed a 19-year-old in custody Sunday after a memorial for slain political activist Charlie Kirk was damaged at the Turning Point headquarters in Phoenix, authorities said.

Ryder Corral was booked on one count of criminal damage and another count of disorderly conduct following the incident that occurred about 9:50 a.m. Sept. 14 near 48th Street and Beverly Road, police said.

Officers were in the area to assist with traffic control due to a large community presence in the area following recent events. No one was injured.
