A mischievous rescue cat is amusing viewers after a malfunctioning automatic feeder let her eat nearly two weeks' worth of food overnight—leaving what her owner joked was a "food baby."

Sparrow, a 4-year-old mixed breed adopted from the Auburn Humane Society in Washington, gained viral fame in a TikTok video that has more than 6 million views.

Her owner, Alixandra, 30, of Houston, shared the clip to her page @alixandracass, with the caption: "Forgive a girl for wanting a snack!"

The video showed Sparrow, with a bloated belly after her nighttime food binge.

According to Alixandra, who didn't share her surname, Sparrow masterminded her own midnight feast by toppling the feeder and prying off the lid. She suspects Sparrow may have had some help from her brother, Jack.
