LANCASTER, S.C. (WBTV) - A person was killed in a moped crash in Lancaster County on Sunday morning.

The Sept. 14 crash happened just before 10 a.m. on Highway 903 near Hilldale Drive, east of Lancaster.

said the driver of the moped turned off Hilldale Drive onto Highway 903 and got hit by an oncoming Chevrolet SUV.

State troopers said the driver of the moped died, while the driver of the SUV was not hurt.

Troopers did not say if the SUV driver could face charges, but they were continuing to investigate as of Monday morning.

Officials have not yet released the name of moped driver.
