TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The ACLU of Indiana has filed a lawsuit against Indiana State University, alleging that the university is in violation of the First Amendment after a decision that terminated funding for students employed at the Pride Center of Terre Haute.
The American Civil Liberty Union (ACLU) announced the lawsuit in a press release sent to WTWO/WAWV.
The lawsuit comes months after Indiana State University (ISU) resolved a lawsuit filed by the ACLU on behalf of the Pride Center, after they claimed school officials prevented the group from holding Pride Fest on campus. College leaders denied that claim.
The new lawsuit—involving the same parties—claims that ISU terminated funding that helped pay for student workers.
