While he didn’t come out and say it, the host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert gave his network CBS a big f*** you after claiming the Emmy for Outstanding Talk Series despite his show copping the axe.

As America’s political landscape continues to shift, fans learned in July that Colbert’s anti-Trump late-night show would be wound up in May next year after a merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media was approved by the US President’s administration.

While CBS’ parent company Paramount claimed the cancellation was a financial decision, Sunday night proved the classy host is still as popular as ever 10 years into his tenure at the helm.

Before Colbert even accepted his award, Hollywood’s elite roared as Bryan Cranston read out the host’s name as one of three nominees.
