DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A riot in a grocery store parking lot left several people facing charges.

Davenport police came to Hilltop Grocery at 1312 Harrison Street for a disturbance at 1:07 a.m., according to an arrest affidavit.

Police said Danika Howard, 31, drove herself and two others to the area for a planned fight in the parking lot of the store.

Several other people were in the parking lot as well, police said.

During the incident, which police described as a “violent riot”, officials said Danika Howard took a handgun out of her pocket and fired it once in the air.

When police arrived, several people told officers Danika Howard fired the gun and was in a Ford Escape. Officials said Danika Howard then began to drive away from the area.
