Homicide investigators have identified a man shot to death and later found at a gas station in Maple Ridge last month as 24-year-old Austin Baillie.

The shooting happened an Aug. 13, shortly before 12:30 a.m., near 246th Street and 124th Avenue, a rural area near a petting farm.

He was later found inside a vehicle a few kilometres away at a Petro-Canada gas station at 24009 Dewdney Trunk Rd.

Despite life-saving measures, Baillie died.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team believes this was a targeted shooting.

Investigators have identified a vehicle they believe to be connected to the shooting, a newer-model white Nissan Rogue.
