(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded $12,000 in grants to combat food insecurity. These grants are in response to the growing need for assistance in the community.
According to data from Feeding America, Ripley County saw a notable increase in food insecurity, with over 4,000 residents being unsure when they will have their next meal – a rise of 190 people from the previous year.
The Ripley County Community Foundation’s Board of Directors recognized the critical role of food pantries in our communities and acted on its mission to enrich the quality of life in Ripley County.
