LSU coach Brian Kelly explained why he went off at a question at the beginning of his postgame news conference Saturday after the Tigers' 20-10 win over Florida and said he apologized to the reporter.
During an appearance Monday morning on the SEC Network, Kelly said he wanted to "defend" his players, but he has to "handle myself in a better fashion" after the first question he was asked was about LSU's offensive issues .
"I have to do a better job of handling myself in those situations," Kelly said. "I'll do better. Because I think everybody knows there's emotion, those questions can be such that you want to defend your team and you want to defend your players. That's your first reaction after a great win. But like I said, I've been doing it a long time, but I can do better. I c
