The Patriots ’ kicker problems continued on Sunday when Andy Borregales missed two PATs. Hours later, the kicker New England cut in favor of the rookie had a flawless debut with the Atlanta Falcons.
Parker Romo went 5-for-5 on field goal attempts and hit kicks from 29, 33 (two times), 38 and 54 yards. The former XFL star also made his lone PAT in Atlanta’s 22-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings — the team he spent last season with.
Romo’s performance earned him NBC’s Player of the Game. The 28-year-old signed with the Falcons last week , and was still getting acclimated with his teammates including Leonard Floyd, who he was introduced to during NBC’s postgame segment .
