ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A police pursuit Monday morning shut down a road near the Whitley County border.

State Road 205 is shut down in both directions between McDuffee and Bryie roads, less than a mile from Churubusco.

Indiana State Police joined officers with Fort Wayne Police and the Allen County Sheriff's Department to track down a vehicle. Several special operations vehicles were at the scene.

Details on the pursuit have not been confirmed.

During the chase, Northwest Allen County Schools had nearby schools on a "secure action" for about 15 minutes, according to the district spokesperson. The secure action protocol brings everyone inside, locking the doors as classes continue as normal.
